"Wings & Rings tonight! I wanted something simple yet full of flavor. I sprinkled the wings liberally with The Pit Barrel's "ZZ's Smokin' Spice." My good friend Zev Zalman Ludwick makes violins in Silver Spring, Maryland. He also smokes chickens in his spare time... or is it the other way around? He set me up with a jar of his secret spice blend.

I don't have a smoker, but I do have the smoking accessory for my grill. I can get about 20 minutes of heavy smoke out of a tray of pellets, which is just about right for something small like wings.

Then I pushed them over to the BBQ side to crisp up the skin. For a little extra beige on the plate, I added a side of onion rings. Oh, check it out, for dipping this or that, there's a side of Syberg's Sauce because I live in St. Louis and I can. To pretend I'm being healthy, I added a side salad dressed with Imo's Italian Dressing because I live in St. Louis and I can.

"Great seasoning! Used it on a nice Ribeye the other night and it was excellent. I don't typically like anything but a little garlic salt and pepper on my steak, but ZZ's was pleasant without overwhelming the natural flavor of the meat.
I tried it on some eggs the other day and absolutely loved it on them!
